Mindful Body of Maitland

When you walk into Mindful Body of Maitland, you will walk into the arms of a friend. Our mission is to create a community of folks who are striving to live our lives with intention and grace. When we are aware of our inner thoughts we can begin to release tension that has long been held in our bodies. This is Mindfulness. The reverse is also true, when we begin to move our bodies with intention, through a series of postures (asanas), engage in techniques for concentration and correct breathing—we can begin to release all the static in our minds. This comes from a commitment to the practice of yoga.

Yoga literally means “yoke.“ Through the consistent practice of yoga we realize our union, our connectedness to each other. We recognize the connection between our body, mind and spirit. And we find our connection to our best, truest self.
